For anyone who hasn't been to the Texas State Capitol, it is worth a quick visit. Self-guided tours of the Capitol and Grounds are allowed daily. Visitors can pick up free self-guided Capitol and Grounds tour brochures at the Capitol North entry or Capitol Information and Guide Services Office in Capitol Room 1S.2.

Situated on a 30-acre site on The University of Texas campus in Austin, Texas, the Library houses 45 million pages of historical documents, 650,000 photos and 5,000 hours of recordings from President Johnson's political career, including about 643 hours of his recorded telephone conversations. Open daily and tickets can be purchased on site or in advance.
